nPhyla Receives MICA Funding
nPhyla has been selected as a recipient of funding through the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Network’s fourth call for proposals. This national program, supported by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), is focused on accelerating the commercialization of innovative technologies that support the Canadian mining sector.
The funding will support the continued development of nPhyla’s microbial intelligence platform, which applies advanced genomics to deliver faster, more actionable insights for mine operators, researchers, and ecological restoration teams. The platform is designed to enable more informed decision-making across mine site monitoring, remediation planning, and environmental performance tracking.
This project is made possible through the support of the MICA Network, its partners, and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. The project is being delivered in close collaboration with industry partners including BGC Engineering Inc., Rio Tinto, and Koonkie.
